The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Area, Hon. *Evbareke Jenkins Osunde* has reaffirmed the commitment of the Council to ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the people.
According to a statement issued by the Oredo Media Office in Benin-City today, *Hon Osunde* was quoted as saying that ‘’from our streets to the market places and all other public locations, the Council will ensure that an enviable standard of environmental healthiness is maintained along with public cleaning exercises by the *LGA* at regular intervals.’’
Furthermore, the Council Chairman noted that the Local Government sees environmental sanitation as a critical aspect of its services because decomposing public locations could become fertile breeding grounds especially for disease-spreading rodents.’’
*Hon. Osunde* urged the residents of the Local Government Area to’’ co-operate with the agencies empowered to collect trash from homes and neighborhoods to ensure the maintenance of Oredo’s enviable profile as one of the cleanest Councils in the county.’’
