Now, because the party is momentarily out of government, you think it's wise to abandon it? You believe the PDP is no longer useful to you simply because you're not in power anymore?
Let’s take a moment to remember the 14 APC House of Assembly members who, for four years, were not swore-in. Despite the pain, suffering, and financial hardship they endured, not one of them lobbied to join PDP or sought refuge in Governor Obaseki's government. They remained steadfast in their party, loyal in the face of adversity, and chose to suffer rather than betray their platform.
But you — the greedy four PDP lawmakers — couldn’t even wait two months. You couldn’t bear the temporary setback. You quickly jumped ship, thinking that decamping to APC was the best move. And why? Because you’re already positioning yourselves for APC tickets in 2027? Let me make this clear: it is only PDP that pampers and elevates defectors. APC does not. They reward loyalty and consistency. Mark my words — APC will not hand you any tickets. Their structure is solid, and they have loyal party men and women who have earned their place. They will never sacrifice those people for opportunistic, greedy, and ungrateful defectors like you.
This should serve as a serious lesson to the leadership of the PDP. Going forward, the party must be more careful and deliberate in giving out tickets. Character, loyalty, and long-term commitment must be prioritized over convenience and temporary popularity.
PDP will rise again — with or without you — and when it does, you will remember this moment with regret.
