Edo former governor, Godwin Obaseki, has been hailed for building a world class hospitality facility—The Edo Radisson Blu in Benin City.
Edo Radisson Blu is a hotel project in Benin City, the Edo State capital, conceptualized and developed by the Obaseki-led government in partnership with the Radisson Hotel Group, designed to be an upscale, international hotel with 169 rooms, aimed at boosting tourism and economic development in Edo.
Located in the GRA area of Benin City, the project, upon completion, will enhance the hospitality sector, attract investment, and boost tourism receipts in Edo.
Additionally, Radisson Blu aims to stimulate economic growth and showcase Edo's commitment to attracting investment.
Radisson Blu and several other world class initiatives of the Obaseki-led administration are a chilling reminder of the former governor's strong commitment to revolutionary economic rebirth, attract investments, develop reforms, build strong human capital base, and set Edo on prosperity path—skills that continue to distinguish the former governor despite leaving office eight months ago.
