Edo State Chapter of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, has asked the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmoud Yakubu to resign from office.
The Chairman of the PDP in the State Chief Dan Orbi receiving a former Commissioner of information, Prince Kassim Afegbua and APC Chairman in Etsako Central Local Government Area as well as thousands of their supporters said the call follows alleged continuous incompetence as reflected in the conduct of Osun State Governorship and River State rerun elections.

Chief Dan Orbi who denounced the sudden poor performance of INEC having recorded brilliant results during the tenure of immediate past chairman Professor Atahiru Jeiga congratulated Osun State PDP members and the People for their resilience to effect a positive change.
Orbi encouraged them not to despair as victory may be delayed but not eventually denied and urged them to sustain the zeal during the re-scheduled election.
The PDP also condemned the poor and delayed response to the plight of flood Victims across Edo state and warned against diversion of donated relief materials by kind hearted Nigerians.
Former information Commissioner in the state Prince Kassim Afegbua and the APC Chairman in Etsako Central Local Government area, all in the neighborhood of the National APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole said the worsening infrastructural decay in their Communities coupled with bitting economic fortunes of the people drove them back to the opposition where they originally belong.
