The combined armed bandits who masterminded the killings of a divisional police officer, and three others including a heavily pregnant female officer in Afuze, Owan West council area of Edo state, said they did so in order to free their colleagues from police custody

The suspect freed their colleagues who were in custody for motorcycle theft and further razed down the station as well as INEC utility vehicle and building
The armed cartel who identified themselves as Agbonikhe Austine 18, Sule Omogbae 22, Judge Sabastin 20, Paul Richard 24, Agunu Earnest 24, Sunday ThankGod, who confessed to have coordinated various dangerous attacks at different locations in Edo state.
They were among the 346 marauders paraded by the state commissioner of Police, Mr Danmalam Mohammed at the state command, Benin city.
Also paraded were suspected members of dreaded secret cult groups, ritualists, and other hoodlums who specialised in crimes of different categories.
Parading the suspects, the commissioner of police Mr Danmalam Mohammed, said the arrest was from February till date, a period under review
Commissioner Mohammed stressed that the feat was achieved through a collaboration of sisters agencies, maintaining that the command is set at reddening the state of crime
While urging the public to give useful information to the police, Compol Mohammed promised to deal with any erring officer who bridged the ethics of policing in the state And some sufiscated wepeons were recover from the suspect
