An Edo based Socio-cultural group, the Obaseki Volunteer Network has urged stakeholders in the Edo State All Progressives Congress to embrace the ongoing peace moves being initiated by Governor Godwin Obaseki.
A statement issued by the leader of the network, Solomon Okoduwa on Monday called on those fuelling crisis in the party to sheathe their swords and support the governor to do more work that he has started to avoid crisis in the near future.
He charged the leaders of the APC and Political advisers in Edo state to do their duties by calling other stakeholders for a town hall meeting to further extend the current peace talk in the party.
He warned that those who are fanning the flames will be used to make peace when the chips are down.
The leader of OVN noted that the party will come out in flying colours in next year’s governorship poll if only they form a formidable force with Governor Obaseki before and during the elections.
He restated that the governor has made breakthroughs in the areas of infrastructural development, economic transformation, social re-engineering and human capital development and agricultural sector.
Okoduwa said those who who are fanning the embers of war are doing so for their selfish interest and called on all the interest groups to toe the path of peace.
