The National President of Esan Youths Movement, Comrade Kingsley Ohens has called on Edo State Government to improve facilities of Schools in Esanland to aid student social and academic Activities.
Comrade Ohens made this call when he recently visited some of the secondary schools in Esanland in the course of overseeing the recently completed LGA event of the Edo Central Science and Mathematics Quiz Competition which featured over 40 secondary schools in the 5 LGAs in Esan Land.
According to Ohens, "seeing is believing. Our Government has done well in developing some facilities of Schools in Esan Land but more still have to be done. Improving facilities in schools is not only in erecting buildings but also in the provision of Other mobile facilities like school buses. For example many of the invited schools from the interior communities of Edo Central could not make it to the LGA headquarters center of the events owing to non availability of means of transportation. I think that means of transportation is very vital part of an effective educational system" he said.
Ohens further call on all Esan Sons and Daughters home and abroad to render helping hands to the development of schools in Esanland especially their Alma Mata. "Government alone cannot do everything. Your name will be written in gold if you are able to contribute something to the development of your alma mata and schools in your place of origin" he said.
