Edo Assembly Crisis: Get back to lawmaking business in a week or Face Sanctions , Concern Women Warn aggrieved lawmakers.

The Crisis rocking Edo State house of Assembly has taken a new dimension, following a one week warning ultimatum issued to the aggrieved lawmakers to ditch their grievances by concern women in the state.

The women who paid a solidarity call to the newly installed speaker of the state house of Assembly described their continuous action as a setback to democracy while pledging total support to the leadership of Rt HON. FRANK OKIYE.

Since the inception of the 7th Assembly, the house have been divided.

A divide of the group are loyalists to the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki

While others who pledged loyalty to his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole have continue to show resilience.

This quest for dominance by both divides have raised unending concern as the day go by.

And now some women who gathered at the Assembly complex want a hurt to the lingering Crisis.

They warn the aggrieved lawmakers to sheath their sword and get back to lawmaking business or face possible sanctions.

Recall that the aggrieved lawmakers had stormed the state press center to demand their inauguration.

This however led to the inauguration of nine members by the assembly clerk later that same day.
Receiving the women, The Speaker, Rt Hon. Frank Okiye lauded the women for their bold steps.

He assured of quality delivery of Democratic dividends while promising to unit the house.

For the people to enjoy good governance and dividends of democracy, those elected to make the laws must be focus in togetherness in their saddled responsibilities.
