Five witnesses today testified at Edo election tribunal sitting in Benin city in the Egor/ikpoba-Okha federal constituency seat tussle.
The first respondent Mr. Jude Ise-idehen called three witnesses before closing his case while the second respondent, PDP called two of its four listed witnesses.
A Witness, Mr Steven igbinoba from unit 8 ward 9 contradicted him self when he said only APC and PDP signed the result sheet but in his witness statement he said all agents signed.
Another witness Mr Osarobo idehen was asked why he was the sole signatory to his ward result sheet, he told the court that other agents were there.
Testifying for the pdp, Mr Johnathan Slogan from Egor ward 3 unit 9 could not explain to the tribunal why his unit 14 result sheet had no INEC ad hoc staff signature or any party agent for verification.
Another witness Mr Victor Agbonze sought to change his ward listed as 9 in his sworn statement to 1, but the prosecution counsels objection was upheld by the court who ruled that he would need to reswear to it.
Though he said the poll was rancour free, he however could not explain why the 22 parties listed in his unit result were not reflected in the ward result sheet.
Chairman of the tribunal Justice O Ogundana leading two other Justices Stephen Kibo and Gogoro thereafter adjoinined sitting to 21 August for continuation of hearing l in the matter.
