....hails Obaseki for honouring invitation for peace talks, sues for peace between him and Oshiomhole. The Otaru of Auchi, His Royal Highness, Ikelebe III has commended the Edo state Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki for his commitment to ensuring peace in the state.
He made this commendation when he hosted Governor Obaseki who paid him a visit at his palace in Auchi.
He praised Obaseki for demonstrating unusual humility and tremendous respect for traditional leaders and traditional institutions in the state by honouring his invitation for a reconciliation meeting between him and the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole at such a short notice and by this action the governor has proven to his detractors that he is a man of peace and one who values friendship.
The meeting which also saw the presence of the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in attendance also had in attendance some elders in council and some of the governor's aides.
The Otaru of Auchi it was later learnt told the Governor to further prove the critics wrong by riding in his vehicle alongside the National Chairman for a meeting at the home of the National Chairman of the APC were they are to have a private meeting and he appealed to both men to ensure that they iron out their differences and end the feud between them once and for all.
This plea was acceded to by the governor as both Gov. Obaseki and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole were spotted leaving the Otaru's palace together in the governor's official vehicle and arrived in Iyamho some minutes ago where they are expected to resolve their differences in the interest of the party.
