The command Acting on Intelligence From lnspector General of Police's, Intelligence Response Team (IRT), That Some hoodlums had concluded plans to storm and break oko Prisons, Benin City in a commando style.
Their intention was to use dynamites and improvised explosive devices (IED) to blow-up the facility with a view to liberate some of their gang members detained since December, 2017 for kidnapping, murder and other sundry cases. The suspects are Amos lsuku 35 years, Oheneme Kingsley 40 years, Raphael Ebisin 34 years and exhibit recovered from them are, one Long Barrel gun and an infinix phone, one Nokia 3310 and FERO Android phone.
The Command also arrested one Osaro Iguodala, 20 years who posed as passenger with others still at large Ekenwan Road in Benin City.
They boarded a commercial vehicle driven by one Anyanwu Chidi and along the course of the journey, the driver was dispossessed of the vehicle.
The said vehicle Toyota Camry Saloon Car registration number BEN-839-SK was recovered from him.
In the same vein, the command recovered three (3) exotic vehicles earlier stolen from their owners at gun point. They are One Lexus 330 Saloon car, One Lexus 330 Jeep, One unregistered Lexus Jeep.
The Command reiterates once more on the need for citizens to be vigilant at all times and to report any clandestine activity in their domain for prompt attention of the Police.
