Ogbekpen Primary School Kicks-off: Teachers, Students Excites Over New School

Ogbekpen Primary School has commenced full academic activities; the school authority has registered and now has fifty two (52) pupils in her register scattered across the various classes ranging from Kg 1-3 and Primary 1-6

Breakdown of the number of pupils communicated to the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande by the Headmistress of the new school via whatsapp message on Wednesday shows that Kg 1 has 8 pupils; Kg 2, 7 pupils and Kg 3, 5 pupils

The message, accompanied with pictures of pupils and a teacher, shows that Primary 1 has 5 pupils; meanwhile Primaries 2 and 3 has 7 and 6 pupils respectively; others are Primaries 4 and 5 with 8 and 4 pupils; while Primary 6 has only 2 pupils

Recall that few weeks ago, Thursday 29th August precisely, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Eseosa Ewere reported that the Council Chairman commissioned the newly-built school, with the Edo State Commissioner of Education, Barr. Jimoh Ijegbai and other top government functionaries present at the occassion

Ogbekpen Primary School, Ward 9 was built from scratch by the Osayande-led administration and it served as one of the ten (10) capital projects in the 2018 fiscal year

The facility brings to an end long distance trek Ogbekpen children embarked on to get education from neighbouring communities prior to Osayande's intervention

Members of the Ogbekpen community has once again, conveyed their gratitude to the Local Government Chairman
