The Irrua specialist CMD was snatched in Benin City, Edo state capital last week by heavily armed men in a commando style that led to the death of his two police ordling in a bid to protect him
The news of his freedom was made known by the Edo state branch chairman of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Dr Valentine Omoifoh in a chart with newsmen
According to Dr Omoifo who did not not mentioned whether or not ransom was paid to secure the freedom of the victim, called on all affiliate bodies who were already braising up for indefinite strike over the issue to called it off.
While condemning the high spate kidnapping in the country, the Edo NMA chair,urged the the government at all level to employ effective mechanism to effectively tackle insecurity problem in the country
Edo NMA who boss also condoned with the families of the slain officers who lost their lives in the process, hailed the security agents in the state for their efforts which led to the release of the adopted medical chief.
On his part the Edo state PPRO Mr Chidi Nwanbuzor also confirmed the release of the medical chief, but said there was no ransom paid for his freedom
