Leadership Failure, Bane Of Our Insecurity - Dr. Enabulele

Former President,  Nigeria Medical Association(NMA), Dr. Osahon Enabulele, yesterday, blamed leadership failure on the high level of insecurity in the country.

He made the condemnation during the Foundation For Good Governance And Social Change  2019 Annual Awards Ceremony head in Benin city the Edo state capital with the theme, "Mainstreaming Gender Contributions To Development".

Dr. Enabulele said the high level of insecurity in our country today is due to system of failed leadership at the federal, state and local level of governments.

Enabulele said government must create enough social and economy policy for the people to see as enshrined in section(2) sub section(2b) of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

According to him, the general high level of insecurity in the country is a reflection of a decayed structure of our leadership system adding that insecurity cannot be improved upon without any level of seriousness, transparency, commitment, and sincerity on the part of the leaders.

He described the kidnapping of health workers in Nigeria as part of the systematic malaise in the country and that it is not an isolated incident but very sad when people begin to kidnapped health workers.

"Because when you begin to kidnapped health workers that are supposed to be delivering sacred responsibility in the aspect of their duty of care to their fellow human beings that were created by God so it's a sacred responsibility.

"So when they begin to kidnapped such persons it's shows that the level of decadence and level of decay in our system," he said.

On his part, president, Foundation For Good Governance And Social Change, comrade Austine Osakue said the country has never experienced a high level of cases of rapes, incests and other social vices as it is being experienced today.

Osakue said all hands must be on deck to check the excesses of the social vices in the country.

He said those honoured with the awards have contributed in one way or the other to bring the ills to a minimum level in the country.
