I have deeply reflected on the Edo political imbroglio in the last few days and I must confess that I have finally concluded that majority of the key actors in the last two decades in our climb have been simply pursuing the personal goal of building empires for themselves and their immediate families.

NEVER again shall they deceive us with claims that they’re fighting for the interest of us the good people of Edo.

That’s all lies!

We must all rise up and stand against these professional political traders who are only driven by nothing else but their greed and selfish interest.

With the unfolding political events in Edo State in recent times, it's now very obvious that these career political elements are overrated, shameless and lack any iota of integrity.

Their only driving motive is to seize power, feast on our common patrimony, corruptly enrich themselves at the detriment of the rest of us to sustain the flamboyant lifestyles they cannot afford without their conduit pipes on public funds while preparing their children to take over from wherever they stop.

With their ill-gotten wealth, they send their children overseas for education and pay lips service to the development of the our state leaving the defenseless masses to wallow in the rot of the infrastructural decay they foisted on their fatherland.

They go on a voyage of primitive display of affluence on vacations with their families, see societies and systems that work but never strive to replicate same back home.

This sad and painful narrative is what Governor GODWIN OBASEKI has been trying to change for the better in the last three years in Edo State and has been making clear cut headway but these gullible few won’t let that continue.

They are regrouping and ganging up against EDO'S progress and development but Unfortunately and shamefully too, majority of us who are the victims of the senseless greed of these political gluttons are the one drumming up support for them and further emboldening and making a monster of them.

We must not continue to play safe in the time of war! The very war that threatens our future and that of our children.

Posterity is taking notes of all our actions and inactions. The supreme God has exposed our real enemies. What else do we need? The time for us to wake up from our slumber is now!

Together we can stop our oppressors who are in the minority.

Let’s put aside our quest for immediate financial gains, take another look at GODWIN NOGHEGHASE OBASEKI dispassionately and resist the heartless, insatiable and deceitful oppressors!
