The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande has distributed one hundred and twenty (120) double seater chairs to Niger College in Ward 6 of the Local Government Area
Recall that Dr. Osayande had last year flagged-off distribution of chairs to major schools in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area towards improving quality education in schools in which over 1800 chairs has been delivered to majorly primary schools
Schools including Ogbekpen Primary School, Idogbo Primary School, Ikpoba Primary School, Oguola Secondary School, Ogbeni Primary School, RRIN Primary School, Osemwende Primary School, Enikaro Primary School etc ranks amongst schools that have benefitted from Osayande's 2000-chair distribution exercise
Recieving the chairs on Monday at the school compound, the Principal, Niger College, Mr. Joseph Omoregie who was visibly elated, expressed confidence that the chairs will enhance effective teaching and learning in the school
Mr. Omoregie said "the distribution of these chairs and table will go a long way to ameliorate the problem of Niger College, we have been in need of chairs and tables and that has made traching and learning very difficult, but today with the provision of these chairs, I think that educational instructions will be better dispensed"
Speaking on behalf of the students, the head prefects, Michael Egharevba and Benison Taiye Paula were full of praise for the Council Boss; they said that the distribution of the chairs will help them to learn properly as lack of chairs had impede effective teaching and learning in their school
Meanwhile, the LGA Boss has said that he will continue to promote even development across the Local Government Area as he has earmarked another tranche of chairs for Western Boys High School in Ward 2 of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area
