The attention of the Ambrose Alli University Chapter of the Obaseki Shaibu Movement was earlier today drawn to a Publication made by one Mr Bright Onolunose, where he claimed the EPM has been making some moves to woo the Ambrose Alli University Chapter of Obaseki/Shaibu Movement with the excuse that Governor Godwin Obaseki was only interested in using the very Intelligent and Politically Active Students which make up the OSM Executives in the University, after which, according to the said Bright Onolunose, the students will be dumped by the Governor without any reward. It may first of all interest the general public to know that the said Facebook Account is a known proxy, used by the EPM group to peddle lies and share propaganda round social media platforms.
While the University Chapter of OSM will appreciate the EPM group for acknowledging the fact that the heat from the University Students is getting to their door step and making them very much uncomfortable, we will advise them to always learn to at least be sincere with themselves even if it is once in a while, but if they must lie, they should learn to be brief in the words of Niccolo Machiavelli.
We the AAU OSM after reading the Publication, therefore state categorically clear that the Edo People's Miscreants (EPM) through their proxies, are trying to defame the good name of the Chapter and the integrity and excellent result which the Chapter has built and continued to maintain since its introduction into the Obaseki/Shsibu Project. It should be noted therefore that no EPM member has at anytime been bold enough to attempt to woo any member of AAU OSM Executives, we are not aware of what they are talking about, they have never met any of us in person and we are very bold to put it to Edo State People home and abroad and the general Public that the AAU OSM are not cheap, we are too Intelligent, Credible, Patriotic, dedicated and higly Committed to the Obaseki Project and as such, no amount of money from EPM can move us. Concerning this Movement, it should be clear to everyone thst we remain like Mount Zion that can not be moved, this is because, we are not the same with every other groups out there, we are different, we have gone and still going through the four walls of the University, we have seen, we have read, we have been taught and we have learnt from different tutors. We are not thugs, we are not touts and most importantly, we are not illiterate. Therefore, we know exactly what we want, when we also see it, we know how to identify it. Our Choice of Obaseki is that which is borne out a rigorous study, a serious Comparative Political Analysis and Comparative Public Administration, guided by all form of Objectivity and value free nature.
This project as you may have for long mistaken it to be, is not an Obaseki Project, it is for the purpose of securing the glorious future of every Students and the entire youths of this state, including the future of our generation this yet unborn. If Adams Oshiomhole who is the leader of EPM ruled this same ttate for 8 horrible years, making the state the second most indebted state in the whole of Nigeria and in all of those debt, there was no Industry, no Company, no Factory and no Agricultural program or Revolution where even as few as 5 graduates were employed, then, any Student from anywhere in the State who still finds such person as worthy of his or her support is the enemy of himself and the hinderance to his own glorious destiny.
This is why we the AAU Students have therefore decided to take our Destiny in our own hands, we have decided to free ourselves from the shackles of darkness, to free our state from Underdevelopment caused by the limitations of godfatherism and free our glorious future from political demagogue. We rise to defend our future and we stand firm to reaffirm that no amount of blackmail, money, offer and/or intimidation from any angle can make us shift ground or decide to join our enemies to jeopardize our future. EPM which is always concerned about what they will gain from Governor Obaseki and not what the State will gain from him should also be aware that the Ambrose Alli University Chapter of OSM is not a greedy group looking for what Obaseki will give to them, but what they will contribute to having Obaseki remain till 2024 for a Continuous Development and for the sustenance and consolidation of this Development. AAU OSM is United, Focus, Strong and remain Committed to the Obaseki Shaibu Project.
