Senator Domingo Obende has eulogized Governor Obaseki for his numerous people oriented programs as well as his love for the people, adding that the governor is indeed the leader of the All Progressive Congress in Edo.

He recently stated that going by the recent happenings in the state, Governor Obaseki is firmly in charge in Edo politics. He further advised that the governor remains focused and undistracted in discharging his duties as he has always done.

Senator Domingo said, “it is appalling that a man who once fought godfatherism in Edo has turned around to be a chief protagonist of godfatherism. As such, Adams Oshiomhole has lost his popularity and relevance as the same people that helped him to fight godfatherism in the past are now with Governor Obaseki to help him also fight the scourge of Godfatherism in the State.”

Senator Domingo added that all good people of Edo must continue to support Governor Obaseki who has done so much for Edo people as well as join him to fight the godfathers who want the state treasury to be used to service their greediness.

In a related development, the Obaseki/ Shaibu Movement while commending Senator Domingo Bende for his efforts as grand patron of the movement said, “We the members of OSM wholeheartedly celebrated with you on your recent birthday anniversary because you’re a leader of no mean repute and one that have conceived impressive ideas that help to move all Edo people forward.

“We are by this statement affirming our happiness having you as our grand patron because we know you will bring your wealth of experience in the political space to bear in ensuring that our wake and see Governor Obaseki comes victorious in the next election.”

It continued, “Going by your antecedents in Edo politics, we are more than joyous to announce you as our grand patron as we eagerly look forward to paying a courtesy visit to you.”
