Youths under the auspices of Yoruba World Congress across the Southwest States of Nigeria - Lagos, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo and Ekiti will hold solidarity rallies simultaneously today (Tuesday, 21 January).

This solidarity rally is in support of the Western Nigeria Security Network outfit also known as Operation Amotekun. Recall that the Attorney General of the federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN) declared the security outfit as illegal.

The  declaration has however continued to generate heated debates amongst political leaders, lawyers, public affairs analysts and others. The six Southwest states governors have been advised to challenge the statement made by the AGF.

However, the youths under the auspices of Yoruba World Congress has vowed to hold peaceful protests across the south west states today as this would go a long way to send signal to the federal government to consent to the functionality of Operation Amotekun

Here are the following locations of where the protest will hold today across southwest States in Nigeria:

1. Lagos - Freedom park, Ojota

2. Oyo - Agodi Cenotaph, Ibadan

3. Osun - Nelson Mandela park, Osogbo

4. Ogun - Pansheke Axis, Abeokuta

5. Ekiti - Fajuyi Axis, Ado Ekiti

6. Ondo - Alagbaka Junction, Akure
