Osayande Bags Midwest Tempo "Local Government Chairman Of The Year" Award

The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande, has received the Midwest Tempo "Local Government Chairman of the Year" award, following his administration's reforms in the overall turnaround of Local Government administration ranging from, but not limited to his prudent management of scarce local government resources, provision of basic social-infrastructural amenities and implementation of people-oriented policies aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in local government administration

The award was received by a representative of the Council Chairman and Secretary to the Local Government, Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia at a well-attended event organized by Midwest Tempo Tuesday January 14, 2020 at the Prestige Hotel and Suites, Ihama Road, GRA, Benin City, the Edo State capital

Presenting the award to Dr. Eric Osayande, the Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue, Edo State, Mr. Igbinidu Inneh said "I present this award of Local Government Chairman of the year to you on behalf of Midwest Tempo for your inspiring leadership style and judicious deployment of the Local Government resources; congratulations on your sterling performance at Council"

Meanwhile, the Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu got the Midwest Tempo "Man of the Year" award, while the House of Representatives Member for Ovia Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Idahosa (#DENCO), and the Chairman, Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (#SUBEB), Dr. Joan Osa-Oviawe got the "Representative of the Year" and "Educational Advancement" awards respectively

Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Sen. Matthew Urhoghide, Chief Owen Obaseki and Dr. Osaro Odiase clinched the "Senator of the Year", "Special Recognition" and "Business Person of the Year" awards respectively

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande has reiterated his avowed commitment to the continuous re-engineering of the local government area, assuring that his fiscal responsibility and accountability policies will open up new vistas upon which successive administrations can thrive

Present at the award ceremony were the Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Osarodion Ogie Esq., Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Mr. Taiwo Akerele, Members of the Edo State House of Assembly, Head of Service, Edo State, Mr. Isaac Ehiozuwa, Edo State former Head of Service, Mr. Ekiuwa Inneh, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen, Special Advisers, Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants to the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, youth, women, students groups and other top government functionaries
