Rumours heating up Edo polity giving misleading and unfounded information to the progressive people of Edo State that His Excellency Godwin Obaseki and Rt Hon Comr Philip Shaibu has been suspended by NWC from APC is untrue, devilish, show of desperation and display of constitutional ignorance, thus such information should be disregarded.
Addressing journalists at Fugar the administrative headquarter of Etsako Central LGA, SSA on local government matters to Mr Godwin Obaseki Comr Amedu Matthew aka A. M. Express told news men social media users to give accurate information to the progressive people of Edo State. He made it clear that the National working committee didn't suspend Obaseki's and Shaibu rather it was an unrecognized factional Chairman David Imuse that ignorantly vomited nonsense from his mouth. Those quoting Channels TV should stop show casing their high level of poor ability to comprehend simple and correct spoken English language. Channels TV never said NWC suspends Obaseki and Shaibu, it said the NWC upheld the suspension of Barr Anslem Ojezua as they await the report of the reconciliation committee while a faction of Edo State APC led by David Imuse allegedly suspended Godwin Obaseki and Comr Philip Shaibu, which he and his over desperate National Chairman does not possess such powers.
" Ordinarily David Imuse cannot act in the absence of Barr Anslem Ojezua because he is not the state deputy Chairman but he was the Vice Chairman Edo South before his suspension. In the absence of Barr Anslem Ojezua the State APC Chairman, the right person to act is Past Kenneth Asekomhe. In this case, Anslem Ojezua remains the recognised Edo State APC chairman and it's out of place for the NWC to upheld his alledge suspension by a faction not recognized by law".
"David Imuse and his cronies claiming to have suspended Obaseki and Shaibu should tell Edo people the secretariat such meeting was held, those in attendance and who chair the meeting. Also, David Imuse should also tell Edo people the congress where he emerged as Edo State Chairman of APC. From all indication the National Chairman and his factional chairman David Imuse are based at Abuja where they plan propaganda to cause confusion that only exists on social media space".
He enjoined all true sons and daughters of Edo State to skip panicking over such unfounded, illegal and misguided antics of EPM and their principal. Mr Godwin Obaseki remains as leader of Edo State APC and Comr Philip Shaibu remains full blooded APC.
Comr Amedu assures Edo people that Mr Godwin Obaseki and Comr Philip Shaibu will surely return as Governor and Deputy come 2020.
