Earlier today, the fake news about the purported suspension of the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, made the rounds on social media, pushed widely by EPM e-rats.
As expected, this news did not stand the test of time and was discovered shortly after to have been completely made-up.
That the media controllers of the drowning group, EPM, can wake up on a Monday morning and choose to mislead the good people of Edo State and Nigerians in general only wreaks of desperation. They can sense the doors closing on them fast and are just grasping at straws in last minute survival dashes. Unfortunately, all this will eventually amount to zilch.
One thing these EPM members fail to realise is that keen observers of the political dynamics in Edo State are watching and taking note of those who are wont to spread canards and a time will certainly come when anything published from their fold will be completely ignored and tagged as falsehood or at best received with suspicion. This is the inherent danger in the media game they have chosen to deploy.
We will thus like to use the medium to warn consumers of news items on social media, especially as it concerns Edo State to be wary of such news items from the handles of EPM e-rats who are not worthy of being mentioned here.
