The leadership of the All Progressives Congress should immediately call for a meeting of the NEC and deliberate on recent issues in the country but particularly in the party.
The NEC should investigate the circumstances that led to the party winning and losing elections in both Zamfara and Bayelsa states. The NEC should also investigate the issues surrounding the party in Rivers state and why no candidate was allowed to contest the 2019 general elections. Also, the investigation should include the Imo state chapter of the party.
The NEC should demand the National Chairman of the party what role does the party constitution require him to play whenever there's the likely of internal bickering. They should find out if indeed, he carefully played those roles or neglected his assigned responsibilities to do other sundry things that directly or indirectly impacted on the fortunes of the party under him.
The National Executive Council should be aware that in 2020, there will be gubernatorial elections in both Edo and Ondo states and from what is going on in Edo, the party may not win the elections unless the existing factions are united quickly.
Adams Oshiomole has destroyed the APC more than he has built it and he seem not to mind. This isn't good for the party.
The national leaders of the Party and other prominent stakeholders must arise now and act otherwise there may be no APC come 2023.
