Benin City: Special Assistant on Digital to Edo State Government, Ambassador George Osagiede has charged Edo communities to see the various preventive measures against the Coronavirous (Covid-19) pandemic as necessary sacrifices.
He gave the advice during a chat with newsmen in Benin City, Edo State capital.
According to him, the preventive measures advocated by government are in line with Nigeria constitution which empowers government to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
He urged the people to give the necessary support to government in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic which has so far claimed several lives globally.
The SA on Digital who is also a community leader and an Ambassador of Peace pleaded with the people of ward 9 in Ikpoba Local Government Area of the state where he hays from to see reasons with government and comply with the World Health Organizations (WHO) recommended measures for the containment of the virus in the interest of every Nigerian.
He pledged his readiness to complement government efforts in the fight against COVID-19 epidemic.
