It has come to the notice of One Love Foundation (OLF) and our coalition of Global Citizens for Integrity & Legacy (GCIL) that professional hatchet men under the payroll of of desperate, perennial political blackmailers have decided to drag in the name of one of Edo's preeminent sons, Capt. Dr. Hosa Okunbor, into their duel with political opponents.
Let it be on record that our son in the quintessential icon of Capt. Hosa is a globally evolved man of virtue, prince of industry, dove of peace and eagle of honour who soars in dizzying heights of accomplishments far flung from the gutters of rustic politics and jobless stomach infrastructure crowds who see blackmail as a route to revenue.
In both the politics of state and the more oceanic ambits of national politics, Capt Hosa has maintained a spotless reputation of an industrial statesman more concerned with development for the whole than aggrandizement for factions and divisions in Edo state politics.
His principle in the above regard leads him constantly to engage himself in the expansion of his enormous multi-sector economic endeavours which employ literally thousands of Edo indigenes and Nigerians in general.
The care and upkeep of the gigantic spreadsheet of monthly capital outgo in salaries to dear workers from Capt. Hosa's purse in maintaining these large workforces whose family wellbeing depend on his many branches of industry is gigantic. It gives him both layers of joy as well as responsibilities that do not call for energy depleting distractions of petty local politics.
*CONCLUSION*
We of the above bodies therefore hereby warn that no-one, however low or high, should cast any further slur on his character and drag his hard-earned reputation into their political crises and morass. He is not partisan and will not support one political aspirant against the other at any level of political office contest, whether at governorship, parliamentary or local council elections.
Capt. Hosa has openly, painstakingly and frequently declared that all the contenders in the 2020 governorship race in Edo state, including the local and national leaders of APC and PDP are his brothers, and that it is beyond his character and Christian spirit to play Brutus and daggers with one against the other. In our last meeting with him penultimate Saturday, Capt. Hosa supported his position with the Holy Scriptures at 1 John 4:20 which he he quoted to say that if you do not love your brother whom you see, how can you love God whom you do not see?
Capt. Dr. Hosa Okunbor is our own and we will do anything within the ambit of the law to protect him and all that he represents. We vouch for his integrity and nobility of character and we will defend him at all cost, cultural and legal.
We therefore, for the last time, warn all the architects of infamy against his unblemished reputation to do themselves the favour of their lifetime by switching off the power source of their blackmail dam by desisting forthwith.
We know each and everyone of you involved in this shameful caper. If you test our will any further and do not heed this olive flag of peace, we will fish you out for a public showdown of the decade.
