The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government, Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde has restated his commitment to clean-up Oredo Local Government Area and keep the area safe, clean, healthy and habitable for its numerous residents; the Chairman has said he will continue to place the health and safety of Oredo residents in the front burner of his administration noting that they (residents) are the most critical sector in every government
The Council Boss revealed this during the mass evacuation of refuse at Owina area and Oba Market at King Square; Osunde has said he will not relent in his efforts to make Oredo the best environmental-friendly LGA in Edo State; nothing that post COVID-19 Oredo will experience immense prosperity and development
The Oredo Local Government Chairman has remain consistent in his administration's determination to keep Oredo consistently clean and has called on residents to co-operate with government to actualize his administration's clean, safe, healthy and friendly environment policy
Speaking during evacuation, the Council's Chief Executive advised "we must imbibe a very friendly and productive culture towards our environment; we cannot expect to get positive results from our environment if we do not give it the needed maintenance culture; my administration is ever ready to implement any pro-environment policy aimed at keeping it clean for residents; this is important and must be extensively practiced"
"Overtime, we have continuously evacuated accumulated refuse at Ekiosa, Owina, Iyaro, New Benin, major markets in the LGA, Ring Road and environs, even in some areas in GRA, we have been very committed to the cause of serving our people", Osunde added
The LGA Boss has assured that his administration will continue to compliment the Obaseki-led administration's efforts at keeping Edo clean from undesirables
"In order to achieve an all-inclusive result at the Local and State levels, my administration shall continue to support the Edo State Government in its efforts to sanitize Edo State, Oredo been a cosmopolitan area, we shall continually support our Gov. Godwin Obaseki towards the total actualization of his administration's programmes and policy", Osunde assured
Hon. Jenkins Osunde has assured that more areas, markets and other public facilities in the locality has been earmarked for clean-up which is a critical programme in the life of his administration
