Been an academic don, the educationist cum politician has practically refocused, retool and reengineer local government administration, giving it a face no Council Boss in Edo State, since 1999 has been able to consolidate
Projects ranging from schools, markets, rural electrification, roads rehabilitation, human capacity development, primary health care, security, accountable IGR system, etc now scattered across the 10 Wards of the LGA are a test statement of Osayande's sagacity, doggedity, focus and drive; yet, the Edo number 1 Council Chief Executive looks unfulfilled, apparently, considering his carefully-designed developmental policy trust not yet exhausted
Osayande plans to reset Ikpoba-Okha, making her the most economically viable, social friendly and development-driven local government area in Edo State, with a local reserve capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the richest LGA in Nigeria
And as the race for Edo LG elections gathers momentum, the exercise which will bank on competence and performance in the last 3 years will see to Osayande occupying the centre of discourse amongst his 17 other colleagues as Edo people at home and in the diaspora, institutions and groups are already drawing a benchmark along the line of performance and productivity for which Osayande ranks high in the comity
