*Activities Marking 2nd Term Inauguration*
In an enthusiastic effort lasting for several hours today, the Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council *Hon. Evbareke Jenkins Osunde,* undertook a major intensive and extensive evacuation of trash and general clean-up exercise in the Local Government Area.
Although environmental sanitation exercises are held regularly in the Local Government Area , *Hon. Osunde,* stated that the expansive nature of the Saturday exercise was specially structured as part of the activities preceding the 2nd term inauguration ceremony of *Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki* on Thursday .
From the large markets such as Oba market, New Benin market and Ekiosa market to major streets and locations around New Lagos Rd, the Ring Road Area, Ibiwe Street and Upper Mission , the Council Chairman ensured a perceivable environmental beautification of the Local Government Area.
In a brief comment to media after the exercise which lasted for hours, *Hon. Osunde* observed that ‘’ the healthiness of environment has always been part of the policy focus of the Oredo Local Government as we fully know peril of decomposing garbage on the health of our community.’’
