DEMOCRACY DAY: Festus alenkhe encouraged journalist to wax stronger in there reportage

One of the contenders in the forthcoming Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Festus Alenkhe (JP) has felicitated with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), across the country especially those from Edo State on the noble role played in the move to install an enduring democracy in Nigeria from 1999 till date.
Nigeria's democracy is no more nascent after 22 years of un-interrupted democratic rule in the country.
In a press statement issued and signed by Director-General, Alenkhe Campaign Organization, Comrade Osunde Osaigbovo Massy emphasised that journalists who swallowed fire during the military to enthrone Nigeria's democracy rule have all been noted and their names written in the sand of time.

"We must keep on pushing towards ensuring that our democracy remains strong with human and infrastructural development.
"The role of Journalists as watchdog of the society must be strongly reenacted at all times.
"I therefore call for continuous press freedom in the country as we march ahead in the sustenance of Nigeria's democracy, he admonished.
