Crusaderhotnews

Edo Queens FC Captain Goodness Onyebuchi, and two of her teammates  Akudo Ogbonna and Sunday Opeyemi, have expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity given to them to be part of Super Falcons squad for the Aisha Buhari's six nation  Invitational women football tournament which begins tomorrow Wednesday the 15th of September 2021 in Lagos.

Edo Queens veteran  head coach Mathew Wemimo, who is also an assistant coach  with the Super Falcon said she was particularly happy to see  three Edo Queens players  invited to the Super Falcons team for Aisha Buhari football tournament.

"It is a good thing for the players, it is an opportunity for them to  stamp their foot in the Super Falcons team.

If given the opportunist to play they should be able to prove themselves. Every player that got the invitation came here on merit.

So the ball is in their court. No player is special, they all have equal opportunity to prove that their invitation is not a fluke."

Meanwhile Captain of Edo Queens Goodness Onyebuchi,  has commended the entire technical crew of the Super Falcons for the  honour done them, stressing that they will do their best if given the opportunity to play.

"in fact we are  excited this an opportunity we have been praying for, now that we have it, we will  try our best to make good  use of it.

I'm particularly happy because it will give us the opportunity to meet with our seniors, those who are already playing top flight football in different clubs in Europe.

Again we will learn a lot from them which I believe will  help  boost our playing career."

"I'm confident that the one week  fiesta will be a great showpiece for Women football in Africa. It is.going to be a great experience for us who are home- based.

It will also help us greatly most especially now that we are preparing for the NWFL new  premiership season.

We in Edo Queens are happy to be  part of this historic event which is  the first in Africa."
