The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin,  rejoices with the Government and Good People of Edo and Delta States on the occasion of Nigeria's 61st Independence Anniversary commemoration and sued for peaceful and hitch-free celebrations.

2 The AIG Zone 5 Headquarters, Benin also charged the Commissioners of Police in the two states to ensure adequate security measures before, during and after the Independence Day Anniversary celebrations through intelligence led and proactive approaches.

3 The AIG Zone 5, Benin also called on the peace loving people of the two states to be vigilant and  security conscious as they celebrate and go about their lawful businesses, urging them to promptly report criminals and and their activities to the nearest Police Station.
