Ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria, the people of Okpebholo clan, comprising of Esan West, Esan Central & Igueben Federal Constituency have called on their well known, Tested & Trusted Son, HON (Dr.) FELIX GODSENT EHIGUESE AKHABUE, JP to Come forth to Represent them at the Federal House of Representatives.
The people under the agis of Past Political Office Holders and Concern Stake holders," made the call in Ekpoma the headquarters of Esan West L.G.A of Edo State, as they said the call became necessary knowing quite well the process leading to the 2023 general election is begining in earnest.
The group articulated on their demands based on the Political Tenets in Esan Land that is hinged upon the quality of the personality and trust worthiness of JOEFEL as demonstrated overtime. They described JOEFEL as a man with a Godly zeal to see Esan Land and it's people developed in his own time even as demonstrated in his period as the Council Executive Chairman with unprecedented record till date.
They further described JOEFEL as the kind of quality Representative that the constituency need and deserve at the moment. The group also hinges on the fact that Esan West deserves to produce another quality candidate just as it was experienced in Esan Central where Hon. Oiboh after his 8-years of 2-tenure representation produced another quality representative in the person of Hon. Bar. Patrick Ikhariale who did so well then, thereby completing the Local Government's period of 4-tenures at the Federal House of Representatives.
The group described the outgoing Representative as a Leader who has done his part to the best of his ability, and agreed that the Local Government deserve to produce another quality candidate that would complete the 4-tenures as "what is good for the goose is also good for the gander", but with another quality candidate that has been tested, trusted, and reliable to render adequate and effective representation that would meet the yearnings and aspiration of the constituents.
Again, the group also hinged their call based on the tenets of political understanding in Esan Land that frown, detest and discourages Third term in all ramifications of political representation.
They further thanked the outgoing Representative for his exploits at the green chamber, and solicited for his support for the JOEFEL Candidacy as a worthy successor. And therefore solicited for support from all well meaning citizens of Okpebholo for the JOEFEL'S Candidacy as they know so well that the Man JOEFEL which has become every household name for good will not fail them.
