The “David David’s Family” of Ilesha, Osun State, Nigeria held its ReUnion party and Meeting on Saturday, 8th January, 2022 with Elder Funsho Odeyemi as the Chairman. The meeting/party took place at No.35 Adekunle Fajuyi Crescent, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State, and was well attended with lots of excitement from family members who were in attendance with their children from far and near.
We had family members attending from Ilesha, Kano, Kaduna and Ibadan, amongst other places.
A Zoom link was created to allow for wider participation in the deliberations at the meeting from family members in other parts of Nigeria and in the diaspora.
This afforded family members from other parts of Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Turkey, other parts of Europe and Asia to contribute effectively in the meeting.
The Reunion party and meeting commenced with the Family Anthem and a brief narration of the rich history of the “David David Family” and that of our Patriarch, Late Pa. Augustus Adeleye Fakolujo David, (David David). After lengthy and exhaustive deliberations amidst funfair and brotherly love, the draft “David David Family” Constitution was adopted.
As a follow up, new Executives to pilot the affairs of the Family Association were elected. Furthermore, a “David David Foundation” was also set up for the Welfare and Medicals of the elders in the family and to support Orphanage homes and Widows in general, with Ms. Tosin David as the Chairperson.
The following family members were appointed as Heads of the Family and Advisers to the new Executives: (1). Elder Funsho Odeyemi - Head of Family (Olori Ebi).
(2). Mrs Abiodun Taiwo- Head of Family (Olori Ebi Female).
(3). Elder Tunde Lasore David - (Deputy Head of Family).
The Executive members elected for a two year term are as follows:

(2). Engr. TUNDE DAVID (KANO)-VICE PRESIDENT.
(3).Dcns. BOLANLE BABARINDE- SECRETARY.
(4). Mr. TOBI DAVID- ASSISTANT SECRETARY.
(5). Mr. KUNLE DAVID-FINANCIAL SECRETARY.
(6). Mr. DAYO DAVID-WELFARE OFFICER.
(7). Mr. GBOLAHAN DAVID-ASST WELFARE OFFICER.
(8). Mrs. TOYIN OGUNLAIYE-SOCIAL SECRETARY.
(9). Mrs MOJISOLA AKANDE-TREASURER.
(10). Mr DIPO DELE DAVID-PUBLICITY SECRETARY.
Barrister Semilore Oluwatayo was also appointed to serve as the Legal Adviser to the Executive Committee.
