Operatives of the Edo State Police Command acting on a petition addressed to the commissioner of police on the 03/02/2022 from Ausuda Logistics Company Benin City, have on 26/04/2022 arrested the following Murtala Bolaji 'M' (35), Sunday Olayemi Emmanuel 'M' (36) and Adesoye Adeyemi 'M' (35) for diverting a truck loaded with 18 cases of glass from Rongsheng Glass Benin meant to be delivered to their customer on 29/01/2022 at Onitsha but diverted it to Ekiti state and sold at a cheaper price.
The receiver of the said goods Bolaji Muritala ‘M’ confessed to have bought it for Fourteen Million Naira (N14,000,000.00) as opposed to the company’s market value of Twenty One Million Naira (N21,000,000.00). The suspects have all confessed to the crime and will soon be charge to court accordingly.
The sum of eleven million (11,000,000) and Lexus 350 car, black in colour were recovered from the Suspects.
The Commissioner of Police Edo State Command CP Abutu Yaro, fdc while commending the efforts of operatives of the command, reassured members of the public of the command's determination in the fight against criminal elements in the state.
