As the primary elections to pick candidates to vie for various political positions hots up ,a leading aspirant for the state House of Assembly seat to represent Esan West constituency has stepped down.
The aspirant on the platform of the people's democratic party PDP, Mr Osehilase Aigbe Uduebor has stepped down to support the aspiration of Omonzogie Ihenyen .
According to Mr Osehilase Aigbe Uduebor his decision to withdraw from the race was reached after wide consultations with party leaders across the local government area.

"I entered the race with the aim of becoming a strong voice for the people of Esan West and to be a strong support for the Edo State Government led by H. E Governor Godwin Obaseki"
The speaker Edo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc who is the member representing Esan West constituency was one of the notable leaders who consulted with the aspirant.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun has set a standard as a leader with the people at heart and an agent of peaceful resolutions ,a beacon of hope for the Youths and a source of pride for all .
upon his withdrawal from the race, Oseh thanked his supporters for their solidarity all along and encouraged them to take up the omozogie Ihenyen's project as their own going forward.
In his words, "Omons and I have been friends for long, we have built a good relationship with each other, I see him as a person whose time has come and I am very confident he will make us proud when he gets to the house of Assembly"
He also thanked the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Marcus Onobun for his encouragement throughout his consultations. Describing him as a true leader who is not economical with the truth.
