Speaker, Edo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc has celeberated all fathers irrespective of age, class or religion as veritable heads of their homes.
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun ksc made this known in a message to all fathers in commemoration of Father's day.
The Speaker called on fathers not to relent in their efforts at leading their families, and providing for them.
He advised fathers to always put family first in all those dealings; and also to propagate the right message to their children.
According to the Speaker, "as elections are fast approaching all fathers as head of their homes should endeavor to call on members of your household to register and get their permanent voters card (PVC) to enable them vote and elect credible leaders in the country".
Rt Hon Marcus Onobun called on fathers to advise their wards to shun vices and tow the right path in life.
In his words Rt Hon Marcus Onobun explained that
"For the sacrifices and hardwork we put into our lives and families as fathers; may we celebrate in good health, sound mind and body as well as in more financial blessings to meet our obligations as the head of our families."
He prayed for good health for all fathers and families, wishing all fathers a successful father's day celebration.
