Shaibu Hails Osifo's Election as TUC President

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has felicitated with Comrade Festus Osifo, on his election as the new National President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC.

In a congratulatory message to the Edo - born unionist who also doubles as President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, PENGASSAN, Shaibu stated: "it is my distinct pleasure to felicitate with you on your resounding victory at the polls to emerge the National President of the Trade Union Congress, TUC".

He added: "permit me to say that your election is well deserved and a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in you by the teeming members of TUC across Nigeria 

Also, your new status reinforces your sterling leadership qualities as President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, PENGASSAN, whose affairs you have meritoriously piloted since you assumed the mantle of leadership in 2020".

"Let me place on record that the enviable heights you have attained in trade unionism within the Nigeria labour movement can only be attributed to your doggedness, sacrifice and commitment to the good of the majority, coupled with your humble disposition as a team player".

"I join well-meaning Edo people and indeed, the Nigeria labour movement to wish you a most successful tenure in your new office".

He said "Edo people,both at home and in the diaspora are proud of your accomplishments".

"No doubt, your election has proven that Edo people are gifted with the resilience, resourcefulness and capacity to provide visionary and transformational leadership as far as trade unionism is concerned in Nigeria and beyond".

"Once again, I congratulate you on this latest feat and may the good Lord grant you divine wisdom to excel", the Deputy Governor noted.
