Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan north east LGA of Edo State will come alive once more as the Second Edition of the Uromi Like Minds Initiative Football Competition enters its Final State on Monday, 26 December, 2022.
The games will see Agba Grammar school Uromi locking horns with Arue Secondary School both from Uromi by 3pm which will see dignitaries from Uromi and Esan land at home and in the diaspora attending the event which has been on since October, which had about 20 Schools participating.
Before then, there will be the 3rd placed match coming up between Ulinlin Secondary School, Uzea and Ufuah Memorial Secondary School Uromi.
The Uromi Like Minds Initiative, an NGO membered by Sons and friends of Uromi at home and in the diaspora has been engaging in secondary schools football competition in ENE LGA since 2021 and this is the second edition.
Speaking with the press on Saturday, the Director of Projects and member of the organising committee, Prince Ken Edenojie express readiness to host a beautiful finals as he said that everything is already in place to have a successful final.
He said: “All is set for the finals on Monday, 26th and the people of Uromi are ready to treat themselves to an exciting moment on Sunday”.
“For us at ULMI, we have made adequate preparations to ensure that we have a memorable finals with the young boys who are already looking up to the games.
