There was excitement at ukpenu community in Esan West LGA as the long search for clean and potable water has been put to rest.
In a bid at making clean water available and assessable to communities within Esan West, the Esan West council Boss Hon Friday Amiedamhen Idialu during the ward to ward tour in January, promised the rehabilitation of the abandoned borehole project within ukpenu community by past administrations.
The project which is under Esan West Clean Water initiatives, was anchored by Esan West Local Government council water project.
Speaking at the inspection sight, Hon Friday Amiedamhen Idialu said the present administration in Esan West Local Government council made some promises during the ward tour, part of which clean water was sacrosanct.
The council Boss said the gesture was to make frantic efforts in fulfilling the promises made to his people, as water provision was part of the benefits in the actualization of the dividend of democracy. The borehole project which is in 90% completion, now has a more quality materials specifications used in the project that will make it stand the test of time.
The project will be delivered next week to the people of ukpenu community and proper management and supervision will be giving to this project.
