Open letter to Edo State governor on the need to assess the suitability of chairmanships in the 18 local government council - Vicky large

HIS EXCELLENCY

THE GOVERNOR  OF EDO STATE,

NIGERIA.

AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY- THE GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE ON THE NEED TO ASSESS THE SUITABILITY OF  CHAIRMANSHIP ASPIRANTS  IN THE 18 LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILS  IN EDO STATE

Your Excellency,  I wish to first thank you sincerely for the quality and dynamism  which you brought into the political space of Edo State.

I wish to say here, with utmost happiness that your MEGA AGENDA has brought hope into the lives of the good people of Edo state.

I wish to quickly draw your attention to the shenanigans  of majority of our Party Leaders across the 18 Local government Councils in the state over the collection of homogous sums of money from Chairmanship aspirants who are blessed with deep POCKETS through some notorious activities.

Over the years, it has been established that some of these Leaders do not have the interest and wellbeing of their people at heart rather it is what will benefit them they are after.

Therefore,  this attitudes of collecting  money from aspirants that are not qualified will not augur well for our great party as it will only pave way for  mediocres to take over the reign of Leadership at our various Councils if the activities of these Leaders are not urgently checked mate.

In view of the foregoing, I'm suggesting that His Excellency- The Governor personally mandate all the Leaders in the 18 LG Councils to compile at least Five (5) names of Chairmanship aspirants per LG Council to meet with Mr Governor for personal assessment.

This suggestion has become extremely important because,  most LG Councils in the state have aspirants who don't have justifiable means of livelihood, as well as others that are bereft of ideas on how to move their LG Council  forward as chairmanship aspirant.

The wrong moral lesson that is now   being taught and emulated by most of our youths  is that you can make money any how , then come into politics and spend the money to party Leaders and you in turn  get what you want. Some of these party leaders will end up projecting the highest bidder instead of the most qualified.

I strongly believe that for anyone to be  nominated as Chairman of Council he/she  should be  above board. They should be men and women of high moral values.

Therefore,  it is on this strength of the foregoing   that I'm strongly appealing to His EXCELLENCY- to personally call for a meeting of at least five (5) aspirants per LG with a view to personally assess the suitability of each Chairmanship aspirant for the job.

As a youth, I believe that if this is done   we will be able to lay a solid foundation for the dreams of our children

Yours Sincerely

Amb Victor Oyakhilome aka Vicky Larg, a concerned Edo Mega Voice
