Ahead the Sept. 2nd local government election in Edo State, the immediate past Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha LG and Candidate in the forthcoming election, Dr. Eric Osayande, on Monday took campaign, alongside campaign council members and supporters to Ward 2 as part of consultations.
Osayande who reeled out his achievements as Ikpoba-Okha Council Chairman 2018-2021, touched on areas including, but not limited to road rehabilitation, revamp of dilapidated abattoir, construction of schools, markets, evacuation of waste, distribution of furniture to schools, transformers to power-plagued communities, promising accelerated development if elected this September.
The former Chairman also assured the Ward of invlusivity of women and youths in his administration, particularly with his running mate, Osamuyi Idehen and Councillor, Hanna Inem originating from Ward 2.
Osayande noted that his next three (3) years will ensure Ward 2 in particular and Ikpoba-Okha in general will focus on sustainable development for the good of the locality.
With resounding acceptance from members of Ogiso community, tipper garage and waterside, including elders, youths and women, Osayande's re-election stands assured.
Speaking on behalf of the Tipper Drivers Association, Edo State TDA, Comrade Austin Uhunmwagho, noted that "Osayande has laid the foundation for further development in Ikpoba-Okha, he builds capacity, develop talents, he is focus and pays attention to details, his re-election is no doubt a monumental blessing to our local government area."
Speakers on behalf of Ogiso community, Waterside towed the line of Uhunmwagho, giving credence to Osayande's good works in the years 2018-2021 and his undisputable ability to restart the engine of development in Ikpoba-Okha upon inauguration of Council this September.
"Go and succeed, we are solidly behind you", they have assured.
Amongst Osayande's entourage on tour of Ward 2 were the DG, Campaign Council, Pst. Blessed Ighiwiyisi, PDP Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha, Mr. Paul Osazuwa, Mr. Richard Ogolo, elder John Adodo, Pa Richard Obayanedo and Lucky Idemudia.
Others are Barr. Osagie Igbinomwanhia, Hon. Kingsley Balogban, Adams Imade, Festus imarhiagbe and others.
Women leaders including Pat Aisagbonbuomwan, Omono Osunde and a number of others were present.
