Aigbe Samson Ehigie, but while he was invited to the meeting, the said Aigbe Micheal did not go, let alone being initiated into the cult group, because he ordinarily considered it as a sacrilege, especially with regard to his status as a devoted Christian in one of the Pentecostal Churches in Benin City.

The source added that his escape did not go down well with the elders of the cult group and some relatives of his late father, who were perceived to have been given gratification to convince him to accept the devilish offer, a situation which triggered off anger, hence they (Ogboni Cultists) threatened to kill him to avoid revealing out their secrets to the members of the public, especially the Christian family.
The source noted that prior to his escape, the elders of the cult group partnered with some of his relatives to kidnap him in their Iyobosa Street, Off St. Saviour Road, Benin City residence to kill him and avenge his refusal and subsequent escape, stressing on the very day they were to execute their plans, he had to escape as one of them who acted as a good Samaritan, called him to let him know what was going to take place, it was on that realm, he escaped and when the cultists actually got to their house that fateful day, they were disappointed not to see him and based on the anger of disappointment, they burnt their house down and thereafter threatened to look for his pictures to circulate so that he could be apprehended and killed.
