Youths in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, under the aegis of National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN), Ikpoba-Okha Chapter, has applauded the Osayande-led administration's commitment to improving the lives of youths in the local government area.
The youth council also scored the Ikpoba-Okha Local Chairman high in his community development drive, commitment to educational development, security, improved rural electrification, rehabilition of earth roads, others.
The youths, who paid a courtesy call on the Chairman on Wednesday, at the Council Secretariat, Idogbo, Benin City, noted that "his administration, particularly his first term, 2018-2021, remains the most productive, most engaging and best performing in Ikpoba-Okha since 1999; focusing on physical infrastructure such as schools, health centres, markets, electricity, roads rehabilitation, human capacity-building and lots more."
They expressed hope for greater works in Osayande's second term which kicked off September 4.
The Chairman was also commended for the market money initiative to market women in the locality and other impacts he has made since assumption of duty, September.
The group, led by the NYCN, Ikpoba-Okha Chapter Co-ordinator, Comrade Ernest Asia, pledged its continuous support for all policies and programmes of the Osayande-led administration aimed at improving the lives of youths in the locality; noting that the youth council has watched closely how the Council Chairman has effectively managed the affairs the local government area 2018 to date.
He noted, "we are very proid of your good works as Chairman of Council; over the years, you have demonstrated the character of a true administrator; your marks are evident in all sectors of Ikpoba-Okha's economy, be rest assured that, as a body of youths, we will continue to support your administration's policies and programmes on youths development and inclusiveness."
"Our eyes will continue to be focused on your administration which has shown to be pro-youth, pro-people."

Asia said Osayande's commitment “to creating job opportunities, fostering inclusive environment for young people’s growth are commendable, his sports and culture initiatives has also helped to stem the tide of youth restiveness in the area; your efforts to engage us critically and give ears to our concerns inspires us to do more.”
Urging the youths to remain steadfast and consistent in their cause, the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Chairman, Dr. Eric Osayande, commended the youth council for their public engagements and service to community, noting that consistency must continue to be their watchward.
"I am very pleased to partner with the youth council, I have watched closely how you engage the public and authorities on issues bordering on youth development, welfare, and inclusive participation in policy making; in Ikpoba-Okha, we are very youth friendly, we have several policies and programmes including sports, culture, employment packages, public works, others to engage youths and keep them away from vices unhealthy for their social and mental development."
"As always, I will be ready and willing to improve on our already existing partnership for the good of our youths across the local government area."
"I commend your consciousness and support for our administration; we are open to productive ideas, suggestions and will be glad to see to it that more youths in Ikpoba-Okha are achieving set goals as a result of our partnership", Osayande noted.
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), established in 1964, is charged with the responsibility of policy formulation and implementation on issues relating to youth development in Nigeria; it is the umbrella body and the mouthpiece of the Nigerian youths.
Osayande has pledged to continue to engage the youth body and other organized youth movements, during a meeting with the Ikpoba-Okha Chapter of NYCN in his office on Wednesday.
