EGOR- The Egor branch chairman and State Vice Chairman of the Edo Tipper Drivers' Union, Comrade Sunny Odeh, has appealed to the State Chairman, Comrade Reverend Augustine Uhunmwangho, to reconsider those two hundred members that were suspended from the union for the purpose of peace, love and unity, which have remained the benchmark of the union.
Comrade Odeh made his appeal known in his office at Egor, Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, while receiving chairman and members of the Bendel Times Annual Awards Committee, who were in his office to formally present his nomination letter to him.
He thanked the chairman, Hon. Melo Edokpolor and other members for seeing worthy of the excellence award, noting that he is excited to be part of this year success story of the newspaper award ceremony.
The tipper drivers' boss recalled with nostalgia the current quagmire which has recently rocked the union at the state level, maintaining that all hands must be on deck to resolve whatever differences which might have arisen in that regards.
Comrade Odeh further said that though the state government is already aware of the pending crises but that due attention had not been effectively focused towards bringing the warring members into peaceful coexistence which had hitherto taken place, especially to prevail on the state chairman to lift the suspension of over two hundred members of the union
He however appealed to the Edo State Governor, His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki to intervene urgently to prevent escalation of the crisis, stressing tipper drivers are one indivisible family working towards the development of the state
