Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin has defeated Abia Worriors with a lone goal in match day 15 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Evans Ogbonda scored the only goal of the match for Bendel Insurance team, five minutes into the match.
The game was keenly contested as both teams gave a good account of themselves, but Bendel Insurance FC had the day.
At the end of the match, the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Ambassador Festus Alenkhe presented a cash gift to the only goal scorer Evans Ogbonda.
Comrade Alenkhe has been consistent with cash gift for the Bendel lnsurance team.
He said, the essence of the cash gift was to encourage players of Bendel Insurance FC to score more goals in order to come top in the league.
