Compendium, Anti Quack Committee of the State Council Nuj, Submitted an Updated Report to the Chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe.

The compendium and Anti Quack committee of the Edo state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has submitted an updated report to the Edo NUJ council chairman, comrade Festus Alenkhe.

The presentation which was done by the committee chairman comrade Ferdinand Osakue has the total cleared number of qualified journalists in the Edo state council of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists as 261 cutting across all chapels in the state.

In a remark, the Edo NUJ  council chairman, comrade Festus Alenkhe appreciated the job done by the committee and urged them to further update the compendium as more journalists show proof of their qualifications.

Earlier, while presenting the report, the compendium and Anti Quack committee  chairman , comrade Ferdinand Osakue said the process had ended for year 2023 adding that a better compendium had emerged. 

He expressed hope that the compendium would help sanitize the practice of journalism in Edo state and weed out quacks.

He appealed to others not in the compedium to upgrade their credentials to meet with the current trend in the journalism profession.
