This is a press release geared towards setting the record straight and intimating members of the press and public to understand the real
issues of the five (5) suspected kidnappers who the military particularly the 4 mechanized brigade paraded and accused of moving about in Hilux Van tilted with security light, who were arrested by the operative personnel’s of the 4 mechanized brigade suspected to be kidnappers, which was coined out of a so called intelligence gearing as far from what the brigade alleged them of, We hereby write to debunk their deceitful acts geared towards misleading the public and military headquarters.
It is crystal clear that the military particularly one major Isah and some other senior officers of the four (4) mechanized brigade have consciously see their offices and uniforms as tool to making money in fast developing communities in Benin-city like Obagie nevbuosa.
I which to state the following reason that should not be taking for granted because this group of senior military officers are in a bid to deceive the military headquarters that they are working for the interest of the state rather than their pockets and pay masters who are organized land grabbers and criminals wanted by the Nigeria police force for criminal activities.
1. It is on record that there is a leadership tussle in obagie nevbuosa community over the ‘’okaigheleship’’ stool of the community and that one Festus Ekenayi Edegbe who is one of the 5 paraded person and the onwner of paraded hilux vehicle is the legitimate “Okaighele” of Obagie N community but major Isah and his cotravellers wants Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo A.K.A Malo despite the fact that the matter is a subject of litigation before a competent court of court law in Edo State judicial division.
2. That on the 23rd of October, 2023 Major Isah the commander of Wabaizinga in the four (4) mechanized brigade had called Festus Ekenayi Edegbe to a personal private meeting over the subject matter of “Okaigheleship” stool of Obagie nevbuosa community.
Upon honoring the said invitation Festus Edegbe was shocked to see that those persons who wants his office at all cost were in major Isah office to ask him to step aside which he made them to understand that the matter was a subject of ligation before a competent court of law.
3. Major Isah in the said meeting pressured Festus Ekenayi Edegbe to step down for his interested party for the “Okaigheleship” stool in which Festus declined his request, 11 days later the said interested party namely Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo mobilized thugs to community to take over the administrative affairs of Obagie Neobuosa Community.
In which one Osaretin Festus and Odion Igbinadulor was shot by his interested party and their thugs respectively on the 4th of November Festus Osaretin was shot and on the 10th of November Odion Igbinadolor was also shot in the presence of police officers who came to arrest the hired thugs and Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo A.K.A Malo
4. Despite the fact that operation still water under The SUPERVISION OF Major Isah and his co travelers in four mechanized brigade received a petition demanding for the arrest of this persons they declined and gave them military protection and cover, and on the 18th of November 2023, during the wee hours of the day Major Isah brought into Obagie Nevbuosa Community sixty three military personal caring four GPMG guns in six Toyota Hilux vehicle to chase out the youths supporting Festus Ekenayi Edegbe and houses vandalized and Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo A.K.A Malo was escorted into the community despite the facts that they were suspect before Major Isah over a writing petition before the brigade and his office.
5. The question I want to put to the 4 mechanized brigade and the Nigeria militry at point did they now see Festus Edegbe as a kidnapper and gun runner, who did Festus Kidnapped and where are his kidnapped victims if any exist, why are they silent over his arrest and when will Major Isah arrest Iyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo.
It’s also on record that I Comrade Emmanuel Agbogun and Comrade Stanley Osazee was arrested by the 4 mechanized brigade personnel’s lead by major Isah from Hexagon Night Club on the 27th of November 2023 on the orders of Uyi Igiebor and Emmanuel Aigbedo A.k.A malo.
Despite the fact that a written pettiton was before him to arrest them. And that major isah sets up illegal check point for them in obagie nevbuosa to serve as a cover up for them not to be arrested by the police while they carry on sales of community lands and MP of the 2 division ibadan arrested some personnel’s stationed to man the illegal check point.
We want to use this medium to call on the chief of army staff to immediately call for a proper investigation of the lawlessness and abuses of major Isah and his co officers and also let the brigade commander know that he is been misled by major isah and a host of his officers who he met upon resumption as brigade commander 4 mechanized division
We also call on the military to hand over this suspects to the Nigeria police force for proper investigation and prosecution were necessary.
We strongly believe that the Nigeria military shouldn’t be dragged into these unholy and oppressive acts of major isah.
