Apparently in a bid to cover their recent nefarious cult killing in Benin, the Edo State Capital, armed men suspected to be members of the dreaded Supreme Eiye Confraternity, have allegedly attacked and almost sniffed life out of one Mrs. Eichie Orobosa Marian.
Mrs. Eichie Orobosa Marian a housewife with two children, who is reportedly pregnant, according to multiple sources escaped death in the hands of her assailants by whiskers.
The incident which occurred on February 15th, 2024 has thrown the family of Marian into fear and sorrow as her whereabouts is yet unknown.
Speaking to journalists in Benin, a family source who never wanted her name mentioned in print, narrated that trouble started when Marian was said to have witnessed the killing of a suspected cultist by a rival cult group on January 20th, 2024
The source revealed further that after the killing of their rival member, one of the cultists who she said is living in the same neighborhood with Marian identified her, hence, they went after Marian.
"Fortunately for my cousin Marian, she was able to escape from unhurt that very day when the Eiye cult boys killed the black axe member, their rival group.
"Since then, the hoodlums have been making attempts to eliminate Marian in their bid to ensure that she doesn't leak out the killing secret.
"After several escapes from attacks, the hoodlums on February 15th, invaded Marian abode and attacked her with the intent to kill her.
"She narrowly escaped death again after pretending to be dead, this made her assailants to leave her on the ground", she said.
The source, however appealed to authorities who may know the whereabouts of Eichie Orobosa Marian to have compassion on her by ensuring her safety.
She said that the armed men are hell-bent on eliminating Marian whenever and wherever she is sighted.
Contacted for comment, the police authorities in Edo who confirmed the incident said that preliminary investigations have commenced on the incident, saying that no arrest has been made in connection with the incident.
