Pandemonium erupted in Textile Mill Road in Benin City when in 2023 thugs violently unleashed wanton destruction running into huge amount of money after attacking one Mrs.Ehigiamuoe Florence Ede as angry sympathizers watched helplessly as she was ruthlessly beaten up over her choice of husband.
Ehigiamusoe Florence Ede, according to a family source, became married to her present husband in 2011 against the will of her paternal family members who wanted her to marry another man with a bright prospect .
However after the death of her father in 2019, the mother of 3 children was attacked severally by family members who unleashed terror of unimaginable magnitude on her using thugs.
In one of such occasions when terror was unleashed on her, Ehigiamusoe Florence Ede suffered hot water attack which was poured over her leg by her paternal family members, it was confirmed.
It was said that her husband Ehigiamusoe Efosa was severally beaten up by thugs acting on the orders of his wife's parternal family as they wanted him dead at all cost in order to pave way for her to remarry another man of their choice .
Thugs again struck in the couple's house where they unleashed terror of unimaginable magnitude on the family by inflicting injuries on the couple and neighbours as the thugs fired sporadic gunshots in the community to scare neighbours in the community from coming to their rescue while the building where the couple lived was also not spared as it was destroyed by the thugs..
It was said that after several violent attacks on the couple which exposed them to severe threats from all fronts, Ehigiamusoe Efosa and his wife were again attacked before her expected delivery of her 4th child in early 2024.
The thugs during the attack, according to the family source, trailed Ehigiamusoe Florence Ede to her tailoring shop where equipments worth millions of naira were destroyed by the thugs as the continued display of violence by the thugs at the tailoring shop instantly sent customers and everyone present to scamper for safety as gunshots were sporadically fired into the atmosphere .
Meanwhile, as the growing concerns over the safety and security of the couple heightened in the face of incessant attacks on their lives, it was said that her husband reportedly went into hiding after the case of threats to life was reported ar the police station.
Ehigiamusoe Efosa was said to have reportedly gone into hiding by seeking refuge in order to avoid the obvious threats to his life while the situation around the family became excruciatingly unbearable and difficult for his wife as she was now made to cater for the welfare and the immediate needs of her children alone without her husband.
