Part 7: KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM MENCON 24

Crusaderhotnews

“An action plan serves as a strategic tool designed to outline specific steps, tasks, and goals necessary to achieve a particular objective. Its primary purpose is to provide a clear roadmap and direction for Individuals, teams, or organizations to follow to efficiently and effectively accomplish their goals.”

This definition of an action plan, by a management expert, is apt for the  ECMFI’s *Action Plans* , unveiled at MENCON 24 by the International President, Rev, Eghosa Igunbor.

According to the president, the action plans included the setting up of a sub-committee to draft the Fellowship’s *Constitution* , promising its release during the 10th-anniversary celebrations in 2026 and a sub-committee to produce *short-term,* *Medium-Term, and Long-Term Plans* to constantly guide the fellowship on the way forward.

Others included a sub-committee for the 10th-anniversary celebration/4th international men's convention,

a sub-committee for Finance/ Fundraising, a sub-committee for Marketplace, and a sub-committee for Publicity.

The rest included a sub-committee for Welfare, which shall be responsible for handling welfare and welfare-related matters, including supporting the Mission's *Clergy Support Initiative* (CSI) created to assist pastors’ widows and their children.

In addition to supporting the CSI, the president emphasized the fellowship’s commitment to identify possible areas for assistance to the needy including offering scholarships to deserving children of the rural-based pastors and supporting their wives to start their businesses. He also highlighted the fellowship’s resolve to support cases of disasters and emergencies within the limit of her finances, citing the fellowship’s donation of N200,000 for blankets and mattresses to the 2022 Bomadi flood disaster victims.

He said the essence of the welfare programme was to complement the work of evangelism -  the official tagline of the Mission.

Plans are also underway to honour the composer of the ECMFI anthem during the 2026 events.
